Emergent Jewel is a creative arts exploration. I’m Susan Bores, owner and a fine artist, photographer and jewelry designer.
My artistic prints are for your home or office, and for display or sale in galleries and select venues in the Hudson Valley (and beyond). My custom, handcrafted jewelry is for sale by special order or found at choice local and regional markets, festivals, and pop-ups.
My style is nature-driven, my reverence of life and love of the outdoors often takes center stage. Reflecting both realism and more impressionistic narratives, contemporary style blended with natural flair makes my work come to life.
Emergent Jewel reflects the art nouveau movement and its influence of nature on design – the heart of my business. It also reflects the memories of an image emerging in a darkroom, a piece of jewelry coalescing from its individual components...and of our human journey and evolution.
Susan Bores is a professional photographer and jewelry maker living in the Hudson Valley. She garnered a Bachelor of Arts and an Arts Management Certificate from Purchase College in Purchase, New York, and has studied jewelry design with premier local artisans along with course work at the International Center of Photography in New York. She has managed at prominent art and antique galleries.
